I build practice systems for vet clinics and pet hospitals: patient and owner records, vaccination schedules with automated reminders, appointments, pharmacy stock, and billing — for companion-animal practices and mixed clinics.
The patient cannot tell you what happened last time
Which means the record must, and in most practices it cannot. Histories live on cards in a drawer, filed by a system only the senior receptionist fully understands. Vaccination dues live in memory, so boosters get missed — which is lost revenue and, more importantly, worse medicine. Pharmacy stock expires quietly at small volumes where every expired vial hurts proportionally more. And the owner who would happily return every year does not, because nobody reminded them.
Pet parent bhavuk hota hai; system practical hona chahiye. The emotional connection is real and it is the practice’s greatest asset — but converting it into continuity of care requires a list, and lists are what software is for.
What does the system cover?
- Patient records. Per-animal history, weights, vaccinations and procedures, linked to the owner so multi-pet families work correctly.
- Vaccination engine. Species-correct schedules generating due dates, with WhatsApp reminders. This single feature is the reason most practices adopt the system.
- Appointments and queue. Consults, procedures and grooming slots in one calendar.
- Pharmacy. Batch and expiry stock with prescription-linked dispensing.
- Billing. Consults, procedures, boarding and packages, with owner statements.
Why the vaccination list is the whole business case
Because it is the rare feature where the commercial and the clinical interest point in exactly the same direction. A dog whose booster is overdue is a health risk and an unbilled visit simultaneously. Reminding the owner is not marketing — it is the practice doing its job.
And the arithmetic is unusually favourable: the list already exists implicitly in the records, the reminders cost almost nothing to send, and the recipient is someone who has already chosen you and is emotionally invested in the patient. Compare that with any other channel a clinic might spend on. The lapsed-vaccination list is the highest-yield asset most veterinary practices own and have never printed.
The rest of the system exists to keep that list honest — accurate records, correct species schedules, owners linked properly — which is why the record structure matters more here than the reminder mechanism.

Your lapsed list
Pull the animals whose vaccinations are overdue. That list is revenue and care, both waiting, and it took a query. /contact — woof-approved hisaab.
Questions I actually get
Farm and large-animal visits?
Visit mode with offline capture — records, treatments and billing entered at the farm and synced when the network returns. The field-operations discipline applies directly, because a vet on a farm road has exactly the connectivity a collections agent does.
Boarding and grooming add-ons?
Scheduled and billed in the same flow as clinical work, against the same animal record. Owners booking a groom often need a vaccination too, and one system makes that a suggestion rather than a missed opportunity.
What about years of paper cards?
Forward-digitise: new visits are digital from day one, and history is summarised into the record at the animal's next visit. Nobody spends a month typing old cards, and within a season the active patient base is fully digital anyway.
Multi-pet households?
Owner-linked records with each animal separate — so vaccination dues, treatment histories and billing are per animal, while communication and payment sit with the owner. That structure matches how the practice is actually paid.
How do vaccination reminders work?
Species-correct schedules generate due dates automatically, and reminders go out on WhatsApp. It is the highest-return feature in this vertical by a wide margin, because a missed booster is both lost revenue and worse care.
Pharmacy stock with expiry?
Batch and expiry tracking with prescription-linked dispensing. Veterinary pharmacy carries the same expiry economics as human pharmacy, at smaller volumes where a single expired vial is proportionally more painful.
