What this site is
A personal portfolio operated by Lakshya Pratap Singh. There are no accounts, no logins, and no products sold here. The site is hosted on Vercel and serves a single visitor: you, reading.
What gets collected
The site collects three small things:
- Page views — counted via Vercel Web Analytics (cookie-less, no fingerprinting). Vercel sees the path you visited, the referrer, and a coarse device/country signal.
- First-party visit log — the page path, your user-agent string, and the referrer are stored in a server-side cache (Upstash Redis) for 30 days. Your IP is used only to count unique visitors via a probabilistic data structure (HyperLogLog), which by design cannot be reversed back to the IP. Raw IPs are not stored in retrievable form.
- Contact form submissions — when you fill in the contact form, the name, email, and message you typed are sent directly to my inbox via Resend. Resend transmits the email and does not store it long-term. I keep these messages in my email until they are no longer relevant.
What does NOT get collected
- No third-party advertising or behavioural ad cookies.
- No social-media tracking pixels.
- No selling, sharing, or licensing of any data to anyone.
- No cross-site profile linking.
Third parties involved
- Vercel — hosts the site and provides cookie-less analytics. See Vercel's privacy policy.
- Upstash — Redis cache for the visit counter and form interaction counters. Upstash's privacy policy.
- Resend — transactional email provider used only when you submit the contact form. Resend's privacy policy.
Your rights
You can ask for deletion of any contact-form message you sent, or for information about what is held on you. The first-party visit log auto-deletes after 30 days; if you want it earlier, email below and mention the rough date and page you visited and I will purge the relevant entries.
Cookies
The site itself sets no cookies. Vercel may set a short-lived first-party cookie for routing and edge caching. There are no third-party cookies, no advertising cookies, and no preference banners to dismiss.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If the data practices on this site change in any meaningful way, this page will be updated and the “Last updated” date at the top will move forward.
